The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for an Academic Specialist position in Mathematics. This is a full-time academic support staff role, with the rank of Associate or Assistant depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Academic Specialist will directly assist in the delivery of undergraduate mathematics courses by:

·        Leading recitation sections.

·        Running review sessions.

·        Grading assignments and exams.

·        Contributing to overall course coordination and student support efforts.

We seek an effective team member who can demonstrate a creative approach to teaching. Appointees will participate in professional training before each academic year.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications:

·        A Master's or PhD degree in pure or applied Mathematics.

·        Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English.

Preferred Experience:

·        Prior teaching or teacher assistance experience.
