Hayley Atwell reveals she was 8 months pregnant while filming ‘Mission: Impossible’ fight scene

Actress Hayley Atwell revealed a surprising behind-the-scenes detail from her latest film, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning: she was nearly nine months pregnant while filming a demanding fight sequence.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Atwell shared that she was "eight and a half months pregnant" in a specific fight scene. 

Despite offers for a stunt double, the Agent Carter star was determined to perform the stunt herself. She commended the production team for their incredible support, saying, "everyone was so supportive," and "I was taken such good care of."

Atwell also recounted other adventurous experiences while filming The Final Reckoning, including learning to dogsled in Norway. 

She described the Arctic experience as "invigorating, empowering, mind-blowing, surreal." Filming in the extreme environment even led to an unexpected pause when a polar bear "walked across the set." 

The cast lived on an icebreaker ship, fostering a strong sense of teamwork essential for working in such challenging conditions.
