Tom Holland breaks his silence on rumours that he is the next James Bond

Hollywood star Tom Holland has finally responded to widespread speculation linking him to the iconic James Bond role.

The Spider-Man actor, who has emerged as a frontrunner for the next 007, acknowledged the rumors during a recent conversation with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay on YouTube.

When asked about the Bond reports, Holland remained diplomatically vague while expressing his enthusiasm for the possibility.

He described playing James Bond as "the pinnacle of working in our industry" for any young British actor and said he would welcome the opportunity.

Holland joins a list of rumored candidates that includes Jacob Elordi and Harris Dickinson, all vying to succeed Daniel Craig, who stepped down from the role in 2021.

The James Bond franchise is undergoing a complete reboot under Amazon MGM Studios, which acquired the property earlier this year.

Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the next film, with Steven Knight handling the screenplay. Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce.

However, fans shouldn't expect the new Bond film anytime soon. With Villeneuve currently focused on Dune: Messiah, production is unlikely to begin in the immediate future.

Details about the plot and final casting decisions remain under wraps.

Before potentially donning the tuxedo, Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man in Brand New Day, his fourth solo outing as Marvel's web-slinger.

Currently filming in Glasgow, the Marvel-Sony co-production is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
