Salman Khan attends ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani’s 65th birthday

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan demonstrated that some bonds transcend romantic relationships when he attended his former girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani's birthday celebration in Mumbai's Bandra area on Wednesday evening (July 9).

The 59-year-old actor's presence at the intimate gathering highlighted the enduring friendship between the two stars, decades after their romantic relationship ended.

Khan arrived at the venue accompanied by his security detail, dressed casually in a black T-shirt and denim jeans.

While he initially appeared serious while facing the paparazzi, his demeanor completely transformed when he spotted a young fan at the venue.

The heartwarming interaction, captured on video and widely shared on social media, showed Khan taking time to pose for photographs with the child before entering the building.

The evening took on added significance as it marked Bijlani's 65th birthday milestone.

Fellow actor Arjun Bijlani, who also attended the celebration, shared a group photograph on Instagram featuring himself alongside the birthday celebrant and Khan. His caption read: "Happiest birthday @sangeetabijlani9 .. Such a sweet soul . I think Bijlanis are special ... day just got better with @beingsalmankhan .. lots of love bhai !!!"

The relationship between Khan and Bijlani spans decades, originating from their meeting on a television commercial set during their early Bollywood careers.

Their romance lasted nearly ten years, making it one of Khan's most significant relationships.

The couple had progressed to planning their wedding, with invitations reportedly already in production, before ultimately deciding to call off the ceremony.

Following their separation, Bijlani married cricket legend Mohammad Azharuddin in 1996, though that marriage ended in divorce in 2019.

Despite the passage of time and life's various turns, Khan and Bijlani have maintained their friendship, with the former beauty queen regularly attending events hosted by the Khan family.
